Mountain village below the Hochkönig massif in summer — the Hochkönig culinary region
Recommended by your hosts

A curated selection from the Hochkönig region

The Hochkönig region is blessed with good cooking — from the village inn and the mountain restaurant to the working alpine pasture hut high above the valley. On this page you will find the addresses we recommend to our guests from personal experience: six restaurants in Mühlbach and the neighbouring villages, along with nine hand-picked mountain huts between Mühlbach, Dienten and Maria Alm.

In winter, the Culinary King's Tour is particularly rewarding: on this celebrated gourmet ski circuit through the Hochkönig ski area, the huts along the way spoil you with regional specialities — several of our recommendations lie directly on the route.

And if you would rather stay in the chalet: on request we will arrange a private chef, who will treat you to a four-to-six-course menu at our four-metre dining table.

Here, indulgence is right on your doorstep.
